Targeted Evaluations & Other Services

Targeted Evaluations & Other Services

Psychoeducational Evaluation

This evaluation is typically selected as part of a re-evaluation to measure progress after receiving intervention. Core academic and intellectual testing are included.  It is not recommended to help determine if a person has dyslexia, ADHD or why a child’s rate of progress is slower.

Psychological Evaluation & IQ Testing

Psychological evaluations include assessing the person’s thinking and reasoning abilities (IQ testing), as well as their social/emotional development with rating scales, clinical interview, and records review.  IQ testing is also available as a standalone service, usually for reevaluation, second opinion testing, or to explore a child’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses.

Targeted Evaluations

Focused evaluations of a specific skill—such as math or attention/executive functioning—are typically offered for re-evaluations or when a student seeks a targeted second opinion after recent testing.

Parent Consultations

Parent consultations are a way for families to seek guidance about whether they should do an evaluation, gain a deeper understanding of previously completed evaluations, navigate their school district, or brainstorm ways to assist their child during their development.

After the last evaluation session, we deliver a report that outlines our testing and provides a series of recommendations for how to best support the youth’s unique strengths and weaknesses.
